As we stand here in 2026, looking back at where I started, the journey seems almost impossible. I am a former foster youth and a single mother raised in the heart of East Cleveland, Ohio. My path was paved with obstacles: growing up with parents battling schizophrenia and alcoholism, becoming pregnant at 17, dropping out of college, and eventually facing homelessness.
There was a moment—just a few years ago—where I felt completely hopeless. I felt life giving up on me. But it was in that darkness that my vision was born.
I realized that my story is not unique; it is a symptom of systemic poverty, racism, and a judicial system that often fails our youth. I decided to turn my pain into power. Being a teenage mother didn't stop me; it inspired me to become an entrepreneur and a role model.
The Mission: Break the Cycle & Beat the System.
Mentors4Minorities is designed to train individuals in entrepreneurship while emphasizing character, community outreach, diversity, and cultural accountability. My goal is to provide the second chance that so many of us deserve.
I have the vision, the drive, and the lived experience to reach those society has left behind. However, no great movement is built alone. While I bring the heart and the hustle, I am actively seeking partners to assist with educational resources, financial literacy training, and mentorship connections.
Where do we start? It starts with us. Let’s be the example we want to see in our communities.
Each one, teach one.
