Hello and welcome, My name is Augustine Turner. The founder and CEO of Mentors4minorities. I am a aged out foster youth & single mother who grew up in East Cleveland, Ohio in the foster care system. Being a teenage mother inspired me to become a Entrepreneur and become a positive influence and role model to ALL.
Experiencing poverty and systematic racism not only in society but the judicial systems motivated me to create a way to Impact our culture, our society & our generation.
The goal is to ”Break the cycle” & “Beat the system.” My vision is to train individuals on Entrepreneurship and the importance of making a difference thru character, community outreach, diversity, mentorship, cultural accountability & work skills.
I knew at a young age I wanted to make a difference. Growing up in foster care with a Schizophrenic mom and Alcoholic dad. My future didn’t seem to bright! Pregnant at 17, college drop out & then I became homeless.
It was at that moment in my life, my vision was born! Being a homeless foster child & a single teen mom I felt HOPELESS….
Have you ever felt life giving up?? Well that was ME!! 3 years later here I am.
My program will make a impact. My program will change lives. My program is for people who understand what it means to need a second chance at life. My program is for people who are AWARE of the lack of equality we have & want to work to put a STOP ……..
Where do we start you may ask? It starts with Us !
I am dedicated to motivating and bringing hope back to our generation but we need your help. I have to be honest and tell you even tho I have the desire and drive I lack the education, resources , experience, financial literacy, & relationships.
That is why I am reaching out to you! Yes you reading. Let’s be the example we want to see in our communities.
IMAGINE THE IMPACT WE CAN DO TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY . Each one teach one
